Meditation of Virtues
Theosophical literature explains that every thought and feeling we entertain attracts subtle matter that builds our emotional and mental bodies. Through these bodies we think, feel, perceive the world, and react to it. By meditating on a virtue, we will gradually purify our subtle bodies and develop their tendency to vibrate in response to higher and more refined emotions and aspirations. This meditation, however, not only affects the bodies, but also acts on expanding our consciousness when we gain insights into the nature of the virtues.
